Voluntourism in Humboldt County

Humboldt County is renowned for its pristine rivers, ancient redwood forests, and wild, undeveloped coastline. The continued health and accessibility of these landscapes exist thanks to a passionate community that cares deeply for the land.

From dune restoration and invasive plant removal to trail maintenance and beach cleanups, there are countless ways to make a meaningful impact during your visit. Join local organizations, meet like-minded stewards, and help preserve the natural beauty that defines the Redwood Coast.

Our commitment

At Redwood Coast Experiences we value the importance of travel, and especially eco-tourism. We have seen our guests wonder at the Redwoods, find peace at empty beaches and experience thrills along our rivers. We have traveled to many other beautiful places and experienced this ourselves. We also understand that travel is not free from impact and thats why we strive to put forward the most sustainable programs that we possibly can. Still we realized that we could do more. That is why we have partnered with the Redwood Guide, and every month we offer a free interpretive walk and ecosystem clean up. Join us on the second Saturday of the month from 10AM-1PM. We will spend time exploring t a different environment followed by time dedicated to cleaning up trash that does not belong there. At the conclusion there will be some snacks.
